Around 80 people attended the official opening of Orkney Foodbank on 15 November 2013. The event was introduced by chairperson Angus Ross, who gave a brief outline of how and why the foodbank had come into being and thanked everyone who had helped us get to this stage – both individuals and companies and organisations who had donated time, goods and services along with financial donations. The foodbank was then officially opened by Liam McArthur MSP for Orkney.
